Before Colour was created in response to a shift in the design world, a growing desire for spaces that are grounded, elemental and free from visual excess, focussing on texture.
Our philosophy is grounded in the conviction that true luxury lies in purity, in origin, and in the rarest natural materials, left untouched. We work only with the finest raw fibers, like high-altitude yak wool and golden muga silk - both exceptionally rare, both rooted deeply in place.

Undyed, unbleached, and unmodified - retaining the richness of where they came from: the Himalayan highlands, the Assamese silkworm forests, the hands of generationally-trained artisans.
Each rug is a study in restraint — stripped of all that is unnecessary, revealing only the integrity of the material and the mastery of the maker. Spun by hand. Washed in river water. Brushed in sunlight. Woven knot-by-knot using ancestral techniques passed down over centuries.
